Junbo Wu

Piano

Junbo Wu is a much sought after pianist, teacher, and music director. As a pianist, Mr. Wu has concertized widely in counties such as the United State, China, Spanish, German, and Ukraine. Junbo is active as a solo pianist, chamber musician, as well as collaborate pianist.

 

Mr. Wu completed his Bachelor’s Degree at the Eastman School of Music, studying with Chairman of the Piano department, Professor Douglas Humpherys. After graduating from Eastman, he went on to complete his graduate degrees at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Professor Sharon Mann. During this period, Mr. Wu has given numerous recitals, including such recitals of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier ll and of Liszt’s transcript opera. During his graduate study, he taught numerous students within the San Francisco skyline music academy, as well as the San Francisco city school.

 

Junbo was invited to serve as music director of the Bach String Festival. Mr. Wu’s students have won numerous honors in competitions, including prizes in competitions such as the YAMAHA, KAWAII, and the China public piano competition. He is currently a music director in the Guang Zhou Ballet, Vertu music company, and a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association.
