

Yinuo Qian
Piano
Yinuo Qian is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and currently serves as a piano faculty member at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music. With the support of the James Baskin Scholarship, she received a master's degree in piano performance and literature from the Eastman Conservatory of Music, USA in 2017. She studied under the former chair of the piano department of the Eastman School of Music, Ms. Nelita True.
She was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and admitted to the Shangyin Primary School in 2002 under the guidance of Mr. Chen Biao. From 2002 to 2011, when studying at the High School Attached to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she studied under pianist Zhang Qi, professor Que Zhengxiao, and his wife, Xiao Shuang. She won the school scholarship for nine consecutive years, and won the Shanghai Scholarship and Tang Junyuan Education Foundation Scholarship. In 2011, Qian Yinuo was accepted at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and was admitted to many top American music academies. She won the highest scholarship for international students at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She studied under the chair of the piano department of San Francisco Conservatory, Mr. Nagai Ryōka, and obtained an undergraduate degree.
Qian Yinuo won the first prize in the Dorothea Van Weineng Piano Competition in the United States; and in the United States Lenox International Youth Artist Competition, the San Jose International Piano Competition, and the North America piano art international piano competition, as well as other competitions won with honors. In addition to individual performances and chamber music concerts, performance experience also includes invitations by the American Liszt Society to participate in a series of performances, invitations by the American Yamaha company to record a concert for Disklavier pianos, the finale performance at the opening ceremony of the Montecito International Music Festival in the United States, invitations by Steinway Asia Pacific Headquarters to hold special chamber music concerts, etc. From 2018 to 2019, she participated in the key discipline construction projects of universities in Hubei Province and went to Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and Soochow University Conservatory of Music for exchange performances. In addition, she has given many lectures held across the country.
Qian Yinuo served as a judge for KAWAI Asian Piano Competition, Yangtze River Cup, Sennheiser Cup, and other competitions. Since returning to teach in China, she has coached many students that have reached the finals of the first Zhejiang Music High School National Youth Piano Competition, Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition, Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition Finals, Pearl River Caesarburg Youth Piano Competition, Yangtze River Piano Cup Youth Competition, and won other competition special prizes or first prizes, as well as a prize in the Steinway National Youth Piano Competition. She instructed many students that have entered the Central Conservatory of Music and Zhejiang Conservatory of Music High School, as well as Indiana University School of Music, Michigan State University Music College (full scholarship), Boston Conservatory of Music, and other schools in the United States.
